Landy Lin
DC Programs Manager
A Louisville, Kentucky native, Landy Lin (she/her) is the Programs Manager for Asian American LEAD (AALEAD) in Washington, D.C. and Virginia. Prior to joining the team, she was a 29th Class Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellow, where she advocated for anti-hunger, anti-poverty, and youth empowerment initiatives in Knoxville, Tennessee, and Washington, DC.
She graduated from Centre College (Danville, Kentucky) with a B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience and a minor in Social Justice. She was awarded the Bonner Scholarship and served as the Program’s Junior and Senior Intern, working to ensure equitable college access for low-income students. Additionally, she co-founded and led the College’s first-ever Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Coalition—one of her proudest achievements.
Her experiences as a first-generation college student and Chinese-American woman, combined with her participation in social justice work, solidified her commitment to creating a world that is invested in young people’s success and flourishing. She believes that amplifying the potential of youth plays an important role in creating a more just society. Lastly, she dedicates her work to her family, friends, and mentors, who helped her find her voice.
