Volunteer Opportunities
AALEAD Speaker / Workshop Lead
Develop & facilitate an engaging & interactive workshop for an AALEAD youth audience, either in a program in person or virtually. Groups are welcome!

AALEAD Admin Support
Tasks and responsibilities vary depending on need. Tracking sheets, updating documents, outreach calls, evaluating surveys, and more!

AALEAD Event Support
Provide AALEAD staff with day-of support such as set up/clean up and engaging in activities with youth for occasional events and field trips. If interested, can also provide AALEAD with event planning support.

AALEAD Youth Mentor
Support youth (ages 8-18) individually through one-on-one mentorship by developing academic, social, and leadership skills.
Commitment
1 Year Minimum, about 5 hours/month

AALEAD Language Liaison
Mainly assist the Mentoring Program Manager by providing language support, written and/or spoken, in any Asian language or common language spoken in the DMV. Tasks may include translating newsletters and documents or doing outreach calls and parent check-ins. AALEAD has a priority need for language assistance in Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Korean, Tagalog, and Spanish.
Commitment
0.5 to 2 hours per week
AALEAD Program Aide
AALEAD Program Aides provide support to our program coordinators in AALEAD after school and summer programs. Program Aides assist with managing behavior, supporting youth individually or in groups, helping with projects, facilitating sports, art, and extracurricular activities.
Commitment
2 hours per week for about 3-6 months
