From the ED: Aspire to LEAD with AALEAD

Despite this weather, February has been an energizing month for Asian American LEAD.

As I’m sure you’ve all heard by now, we are so excited for our Aspire to LEAD lunch coming up NEXT WEEK!  Pulling together this powerful 1-hour program has truly been a team experience.  I hope you will be part of it, too!  Looking forward to seeing many of you there.

This month, we’ve seen many wonderful examples of how our youth Aspire to LEAD.  One of the bigger examples is that our High School Program Coordinators brought 9 high school youth all the way to Boston last weekend for a conference designed for college students – the East Coast Asian American Student Union conference.  It was awesome to hear that our high school youth confidently took part in workshops with college-aged students and that they came away challenged and inspired to take their leadership skills to the next level.

I feel honored to be a part of offering youth opportunities that they wouldn’t otherwise have.  And that makes up for this winter chill!
