    January is National Mentoring Month and I want to thank all of AALEAD’s past and present mentors for your commitment to our young people.  To everyone who is a mentor – with AALEAD or otherwise, thank you for giving of your personal time and energy to make a real difference in a young person’s life.  Not everyone is lucky enough to be born with a strong support system.  Mentors make the difference for young people who need extra support and deserve to have opportunities to succeed.
